Former Zimbabwean batter Andy Flower shared the record for the highest individual score in a Champions Trophy match for over two decades. In 2002, he delivered a brilliant innings of 145 against India in Colombo. Chasing a target of 289, Zimbabwe fell short, managing 274/8 in 50 overs and losing by 25 runs. Batting at number three, Flower struck 13 fours, but his heroic effort wasn’t enough to secure victory.

2. Nathan Astle – 145 vs USA, 2004

Former New Zealand batter Nathan Astle held the joint record for the highest individual score in Champions Trophy history for more than two decades, along with Andy Flower. In a 2004 match against the USA at The Oval, Astle opened the innings and let his bat do the job for the full 50 overs, scoring an unbeaten 145 off 151 balls. His knock included 13 fours and six sixes, helping New Zealand secure a commanding 210-run victory.

Ben Duckett etched his name in Champions Trophy history with a stunning innings against Australia in the 2025 edition. Displaying the perfect approach, he guided his team to a formidable total of 351 runs—the highest in the tournament’s history at the time until it was later surpassed in the same match. His outstanding knock of 165 off 143 balls also set a new record for the highest individual score in the event. The left-hander’s masterclass featured 17 fours and three sixes.
