1. 122* –Martin Guptill vs West Indies at Auckland in 2009
One of the few cricketers in the world who can play the short-arm pull on one leg so gracefully is Martin Guptill. Guptill, a right-handed opening batsman, has routinely scored runs in one-day internationals, including a double-century in the 2015 World Cup quarterfinal, but he has struggled to make an impact in Tests. Guptill made his debut against West Indies at Auckland and even went on to score a century playing a winning knock unbeaten 122 against West Indies in 2009.
2. 108* –Rob Nicol vs Zimbabwe at Harare in 2011
Rob Nicol, a right-arm medium pace and off-spin bowler, who can bat and bowl, shot to fame in one-day internationals when he scored a century against Zimbabwe in his maiden match, becoming only the seventh player and the second from New Zealand to accomplish this feat. In his debutant match, he went on to score a century for the New Zealand team, when he scored an unbeaten 108 runs against Zimbabwe.
3. 90 –Stephen Fleming vs India at Napier in 1994
As one of England’s best batsmen, their most successful captain, and one of the top T20 thinkers of the first generation of the game, Stephen Fleming will be remembered in cricket history. In his debut match against India in India, Fleming went on to score 90 runs opening the innings for New Zealand.
