Over the years of the Indian T20 League, people have seen various hundreds being scored but there are very few that have been scored at a very high strike rate. Let’s take a look at the top 3 fastest hundreds of the Indian T20 League.

3) David Miller 

Scoring a ton against a dismal Bangalore team, David Miller needed one extra delivery to reach his century. Miller reached his century in 38 deliveries and went on to contribute to the Indian T20 League’s illustrious past. When this innings took place, Punjab was 64-4 and facing a winless battle with a tall mountain to climb of 191. 

At this point, Miller really started to put on a show and totally destroyed the Bangalore bowlers, claiming it for the Kings XI with two overs remaining. David also received the Man of the Match title for his superb effort, which helped his team pull out a victory after falling behind.

2) Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan, the explosive batter, performed a similar action against the Mumbai Team. In the first season of the tournament, he carried on to hit a tonne off 37 balls. For five seasons, he was the owner of the fastest tonne record before the record was shattered. 

The Innings of the all-rounders were jam-packed with 8 fours and 9 maximums. He came close to achieving an unprecedented win for the Rajasthan franchise but was run out, allowing Mumbai to defeat them by a score of 4-runs. But for his stunning hundred, Pathan received the Man of the Match honour.

1) Chris Gayle 

In the 2013 Indian T20 League, Chris Gayle took the top rank with a solid 175* versus Pune. He struck 13 boundaries and cleared the boundary 17 times as he quickly reached 100 in just 30 balls. 

The total for Bangalore was a staggering 263-5 after 20 overs, breaking the previous Indian T20 League record for the highest team total set by the Universe Boss. Chris Gayle’s massive knock earned him the accolade of Man of the Match.
