Top 3 best openers in Women’s T20Is

The opening position in the team is one of the toughest spots and each and every team in the game would want to get this right as the openers set the tone of the match. If the openers can settle themselves in the first couple of overs of their innings, they can stretch their innings and make it a memorable one.

Women’s cricket has seen many great openers who build the innings and stay right till the end to make sure they score a ton of runs for their side. Let’s take a look at top 3 women openers in T20Is

Wolvaardt recently played an important part for runners-up South Africa in the Women’s 20-20 World Cup in 2023. She was South Africa’s leading scorer in the competition, reaching three fifties over six matches. Her participation was critical in advancing South Africa to the tournament’s final, where they were defeated by world champions Australia.

Gujarat had signed Laura Wolvaardt as an alternative for the sidelined Beth Mooney for the rest of the Women’s T20 League season. Wolvaardt, who was in Pakistan for the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Women’s League exhibition contests, has been freed by her team Super Women, and colleague Sune Luus had taken her position.
