Paul Collingwood is one of the finest English cricketers of all time. The former captain was the first T20I leader for the Three Lions. As captain, he won the first ICC trophy, the 2010 World Twenty20 with the nation. He made his debut back in 2001 for the side against Pakistan. He has captained the side in the white ball formats of the game and has been a star middle-order batter for the side as well. 

Collingwood was pretty handy with his bowling as well. He was a medium pacer picking up 111 wickets in the ODI format in 197 games for the country. The former all-rounder was only the third English batter to score a double century in Australia. Later on, after he announced his retirement he was the coach for the national side, in 2022, he was announced as interim head coach, before being eventually taken by Brendon McCullum.

3. 54 vs New Zealand, 2008

Collingwood came in the game when England was scoring well against the Kiwis. As the all-rounder was there in the crease when the score was 71-3 in 7 overs. Then he stitched a partnership with Owais Shah of 102 runs helping the Lions post a total of 193 runs in the end. He was dismissed after scoring 54 runs off 28 balls. 

2. 57 vs South Africa, 2009

The Three Lions were in a good position when he came into bat as they were 61/3 in 6 overs. He then stitched a partnership with Eoin Morgan of 98 runs, with the latter scoring 85 runs in the game and a quick fire of 57 runs off 32 deliveries led the side to post a total of 202 runs. 

1. 79 vs West Indies, 2007

England were chasing a total of 208 runs against West Indies, while chasing they were 69/3 at one stage and then the all-rounder was the captain and played a knock hitting 79 runs off 41 deliveries, but unfortunately could not take his team through the line.
