Top 3 batters to watch out for in KKR vs GT in IPL 2025 clash

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Gujarat Titans at home and look to turn their campaign around. KKR lost their last game to Punjab Kings, where they failed to chase down the 112-run target and were all out for just 95 runs. Gujarat, on the other hand, have had a great start to the season and has been one of the top teams to watch out for. 

Here are the three batters to watch out for in the KKR vs GT clash

3. Shubman Gill 

Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill has already scored over 200 runs in the current season. Gill began his IPL career with KKR, and GT’s skipper knows the conditions well at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. The playing surface does tend to favour the batters, and the fast pace of the outfield will aid Gill’s natural stroke play. KKR bowlers could be in for a tough day if Gill gets off to a quick start.

2. Ajinkya Rahane

KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane has been the key batter for his side this season. Many of Kolkata’s batters have struggled so far, and this has been one of the main reasons why the defending champions haven’t had a great time in the first half of the season. Rahane has scored 221 runs with two fifties, with an average of 36 and a strike rate of 148. Rahane has been playing the perfect role at the number three spot, where he has mixed caution and aggression with equal ease.

1. Sai Sudharsan

Young Gujarat Titans batter Sai Sudharsan has been one of the best young Indian talents on display in the IPL 2025 season. Sudharsan has already scored over 300 runs and is in a race with Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow Super Giants for the top run-getter honour. The 23-year-old has batted with aggression and given the Titans side good starts consistently.
