Three reasons why RCB can finish in top two in points table

Three reasons why RCB can finish in top two in points table

Royal Challengers Bangalore is enjoying its best IPL season since 2016 as its squad and players’ form are looking outstanding. They are winning even the toughest of matches, all credit to their brave batting and best bowling lineup. With this momentum, they can easily enter the playoffs and that too finishing inside the top 2.

But how RCB managed to do all these in just one year. What worked for them now has not worked for them all these years. Will Virat Kohli lift the IPL trophy in his 18th IPL season? Can RCB break the jinx? History will be made only if they enter the playoffs. Let us check out the three reasons why RCB can finish in the top two in the points table.

Prominent Batting Order

The RCB team has one of the most prominent batting orders this IPL. The most prominent opening batter is none other than King Kohli, who has a proven record of winning cult matches for the franchise and a high passion for the game. He joins Phil Salt, who is another powerful hitter.

The middle order is carried by captain Rajat Patidar, Jitesh Sharma. The lower middle order has powerful hitters and finishers like Krunal Pandya, Tim David, and Romario Shepherd. This batting lineup can withstand any bowling attack in the world.

Match Winners

Unlike last year, the RCB squad has more match winners and proven players. For batting, they have Phil Salt, Jitesh Sharma, Krunal Pandya, Tim David, and, to make it for all, Virat Kohli. Having more match winners brings more confidence into the team, and whoever fails the other can take charge. If they carry the same momentum in the next few matches, they can finish inside the top 2 and head to the playoffs with pride.

World-class bowling attack

All these years, the RCB team was more known for their powerful batting lineup. Their bowling lacked balance and was ineffective, which cost them many tournaments. But this time they have one of the best bowling lineups with Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal. For spin bowling, they have Krunal Pandya, Liam Livingstone and Suyash Sharma. This is the most powerful bowling attack they have had in many years, and they are on the verge of making history.
