Thisara Perera came to the crease and scored an unbeaten 35 off 28 balls. Because of his fighting innings, Sri Lanka won the match by 3 wickets.

In a domestic T20 match in 2019, Perera produced a sensational inning For Comilla Victorians in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Batting at number Eight, Perera played an innings of sheer brilliance, scoring an unbeaten 74 runs off just 26 balls. His innings was a display of power-hitting at its finest, as he struck three fours and eight towering sixes. Because of his beautiful innings, Comilla put up a total of 184 in 20 overs. But at the end of the day Chittagong chased down the target and won the match by 4 wickets.
