London Spirit faces Oval Invincibles at Lord’s in the Hundred Men’s 2025 tournament opener on August 5. London Spirit finished last in their 2024 campaign, winning only one of eight games.

On the other hand, Oval Invincibles defeated Southern Brave in the final to win the title after finishing first in the group with six victories. They defeated London Spirit twice last season and are renowned for their strong finishes and fast starts.

Both David Warner and Rashid Khan are legends of the T20 format. Rashid Khan will have 10 balls to bowl at David Warner and more chances to dismiss the fiery Australian opener. 

Warner has 13395 runs at an average of 36.59 and a strike rate of 140.43 with a best score of 135* in 416 T20 matches in a career that began in 2007. He has hit eight centuries and 111 fifties. On the other hand, Rashid has 648 wickets at an economy of 6.57 in 461 T20 games.

Will Jacks possesses the ability to wallop all the balls out of the stadium from ball one, while Luke Wood has a knack of picking early wickets. Jacks has 790 runs with one century in the Hundred, while Wood has 25 wickets in 28 games in the tournament.

Both players have the tendency to make a huge impact in the first few overs of the match, with either the bat or the ball. Jacks has 5843 runs in 228 T20 games with five centuries and 39 fifties with a best of 108*. On the other hand, Luke Wood has 200 wickets in 185 T20 games an economy of 8.39 with a best of 5/50.

3. Kane Williamson vs Sam Billings

Williamson will be playing for the first time in the Hundred and has vast experience captaining teams, including New Zealand and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Sam Billings, on the other end, has captained England and multiple teams in T20 leagues across the world.

Williamson has 7071 runs at a strike rate of 123.27 in 276 T20 games with one century and 50 fifties. On the other hand, Sam Billings has 7183 runs at a strike rate of 133.68 in 374 T20 games with one ton and 34 fifties. He also has 229 catches and 31 stumpings in the format.
