The Trent Rockets ended fifth in the 2024 competition and will try to raise their performance this year. Notable players like Marcus Stoinis, Lockie Ferguson, and Joe Root are part of the David Willey-led team.

Left-handers Max Holden and Marcus Stoinis are likely to open the batting. Holden has 272 runs in the Hundred but has a much better record in T20s, with 2259 runs with two centuries and 10 fifties. Stoinis, meanwhile, has only played five matches in the tournament till now. Overall, he has 6697 runs and 167 wickets in T20s, with a best score of 147* and a strike rate of 137.68. Sam Hain has made 279 runs in 14 games in the tournament. But he also has a good T20 record with 5015 runs at a strike rate of 133.94.

Joe Root

Joe Root will be confident after his exploits in the India Tests. Meanwhile, captain David Willey has 27 wickets and scored 349 runs with a best of 81* in the competition. Tom Banton will likely keep wickets. He 535 runs in the Hundred but his overall T20s record is much better with 4430 runs with four centuries and a strike rate of 144.25.

George Linde

Two spinners, George Linde and Rehan Ahmed, will form the bowling all-rounders for the Trent Rockets. Ahmed has 11 wickets and 45 runs in the competition, while he has 62 wickets in T20s. This will be the first time for Linde in the Hundred competition. Overall, he has 191 T20 wickets and 2370 runs in the 20-over format.

Sam Cook

Sam Cook has 29 wickets in the Men’s Hundred tournament and has done well with the new ball. Lockie Ferguson has 221 wickets in the T20 format and, if fully fit, is a huge threat to any opposition. With 12 wickets, Akeal Hosein will look to impress in the format. He has an impressive 210 wickets and an economy of 7.01 in T20s.
