Manchester Originals and Southern Brave will clash in the second match of the Hundred Men’s 2025 tournament at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester on Wednesday, August 6.

The Southern Brave enjoyed a strong season the previous year, finishing with five group stage victories and qualifying for the playoffs. Last season, they advanced to the finals but were defeated by the Oval Invincibles.

The Southern Brave captain James Vince has 980 runs in 36 games in the tournament with a strike rate of 140.40, and the Brave will want him to continue his good form and leadership. Jason Roy and Finn Allen will accompany him in the top order. Roy has 391 runs at a strike rate of 132.09, while Allen has 405 runs in 17 games in the format with a strike rate of 146.73.

Hilton Cartwright

The Australian Hilton Cartwright is yet to prove himself in the Hundred with 62 runs in five games but will be a crucial player in Original’s middle order. Toby Albert is a new signing by the Originals who has impressive T20 stats with 1003 runs in 53 games at a strike rate of 132.84. Michael Bracewell will complete the middle order, playing his first season of the format. He has 3349 runs and 86 wickets in T20s with a strike rate in batting of 136.39 and a bowling economy of 8.21.

Chris Jordan

Jordan Thompson has 18 wickets in 21 games in the format with a best of 4/21 and an economy of 9.31. Chris Jordan, the veteran all-rounder, has 36 wickets in 29 games and has also scored 248 runs with a best of 70*.

Bowlers:

Jofra Archer

Jofra Archer took eight wickets in the last season and will look forward to doing well this time around as well. Reece Topley has 24 wickets in 24 the tournament` with a best of 3/24 and an economy of 9.46. Tymal Mills will complete the Brave’s bowling attack. He has 43 wickets in 32 games in the format with a best of 4/13 and an economy of 8.01.
