2. 132 vs Pakistan, 2015

2015 was the year when Bangladesh cricket came of age. They won several bilateral ODI series at home against major sides including Pakistan. Tamim was the main protagonist for Bangladesh in the comprehensive victory in the opener of the 3-match ODI series against Pakistan. Bangladesh started slowly with the bat in the first innings but Tamim’s outstanding partnership with Mushfiqur Rahim shifted the momentum in their favour. The authoritative opener contributed 132 runs to Bangladesh’s 329 runs in the first innings. The hosts later went on to win the match comfortably by 79 runs. 

3. 128 vs England, 2017

Once Tamim retires from international cricket his legacy will be known for his significant batting displays in global tournaments. Here is the best knock that the left-handed opener has played in multilateral competitions over the years. Bangladesh clashed against England in the opener of the 2017 Champions Trophy. To exploit the bowling-friendly conditions England opted to field first after winning the toss. However, Tamim anchored the Bangladesh innings maturely to take the team to a challenging total. He scored 128 runs that helped his team pose an arduous target for England to chase in the second innings.
