In the 2018 IPL, Shreyas Iyer was handed the leadership of the team as Gambhir stepped down. Iyer and his Delhi side played KKR and managed to win the game by 55 runs after Delhi scored 219 runs for the loss of four wickets. Iyer top scored with 93 not out from 40 balls with three boundaries and ten sixes. Prithvi Shaw scored 62 off 44 balls with seven fours and two sixes. In reply, KKR were all out for 164 to lose the game by 55 runs.
2- 96 vs Gujarat Lions – IPL 2017

Shreyas Iyer’s best ever IPL score came in the 2017 season against the short-lived Gujarat Lions side. KKR then beat RCB for a second time and followed it up with a loss to Punjab. This was the last loss of the season for KKR as they became the first side to reach the playoffs.
