Rashid Khan is one of the best spin bowlers in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His IPL journey started in 2017 with Sunrisers Hyderabad. During that auction he was picked for Rs. 4 crore and also became the first Afghanistani player to play in IPL. In his first game he picked two wickets. In his debut season he picked 17 wickets. Over the years he has been a  key player to the team. During 2022 he joined Gujarat Titans for Rs. 15 crores. 

Rashid Khan has also captained Gujarat Titans few times. Since joining IPL he played 121 matches and picked 149 wickets. Gujarat Titans retained him for 18 crore for the upcoming season.

1. 3/19 vs GL in 2017

During the game against GL in 2017 Rashid Khan’s bowling helped SRH to win the match. Winning the toss SRH bowled first. Rashid Khan took three wickets and gave only 19 runs in four overs. Rashid Khan bowling was very effective as SRH bundled out GL for 135 runs. Later SRH won the match by nine wickets.

2. 3/19 vs KKR in2018

When Sunrisers Hyderabad faced Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens Rashid Khan created havoc. SRH set a target of 174 runs for KKR to chase down while chasing target Rashid Khan broke the partnership of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine. Later he went on to pick three wickets.

3. 4/30 and 79 runs vs Mumbai Indians

Rashid Khan’s 2023 match against the Mumbai Indians was his most recent and possibly best IPL performance.  In an incredible all-around performance, Rashid led his team to a competitive total following a top-order collapse by smashing an undefeated 79 runs off just 32 balls. His power hitting gave his game another dimension and demonstrated his developing batting ability.  After his heroics at bat, he bowled brilliantly for 4/30, grabbing important wickets of Mumbai Indians.
