PSL 2025: Predicting Multan Sultans’ Playing XI for their clash against Islamabad United

The 7th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is set to be played between the Multan Sultans and Islamabad United on Wednesday, April 16. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will be hosting the clash. It will be Multan’s second match of the season while Islamabad will play their third. The Multans lost their first game against the Karachi Kings by four wickets. In a high-scoring thriller, Kings chased down a target of 235 runs. James Vince scored a sensational century in 43 balls. The Multans will surely look to win the next game and start their tournament well.

Here’s the predicted XI of Multan Sultans:

Top Order

Mohammad Rizwan

Multan’s top order consists of Mohammad Rizwan, Shai Hope, and Usman Khan. Rizwan scored a brilliant century in the previous game while the other two batters failed to score runs. However, they have an entire tournament ahead to prove their worth in the team. Rizwan got a good start to the tournament, which must have increased his confidence. In 63 balls, he scored 105 runs, hitting nine boundaries and five sixes.

Middle Order

Michael Bracewell

Kamran Ghulam, Michael Bracewell, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Shahid Aziz were the middle order batters. Most of them didn’t get to bat because Rizwan did his job well. However, Bracewell’s cameo was something to watch out for in the match. He scored 44 runs in 17 balls, including five boundaries and three maximums. Ghulam batted well, scoring 36 runs off 19 balls.

Bowlers

Chris Jordan

Willey, Chris Jordan, Usana Mir, and Akif Javed are the prime bowlers. Akif claimed three wickets in the first game. Apart from him, Mir took one wicket and Bracewell took one. It wasn’t a great game for the bowlers and they’ll hope to get a better pitch in the next match.
