Priyansh Arya's Top 3 Performances in IPL 2025

Young uncapped Indian batter Priyansh Arya impressed everyone with his sensational batting performances in the recently concluded IPL 2025. He showcased his swashbuckling batting abilities to leave everyone awestruck. Arya also recorded one of the fastest centuries in the tournament’s history. He also ended up as the third leading run-scorer for PBKS in the tournament’s 18th edition.

The 23-year-old aggregated 475 runs in 17 innings, with a decent batting average of 27.94, hitting a century and a half-century. It was also his debut season in the Indian Premier League. With that said, here we’ll have a look at Priyansh Arya’s top 3 performances in IPL 2025.

62 vs MI – Match 69

Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings took on each other in the 69th game of the tournament, at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur on May 26. The Kings’ skipper, Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and asked MI to bat first; batting first, MI posted a total of 184 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

While chasing the target, the young opener Priyansh Arya smashed a swashbuckling half-century, scoring 62 runs off just 35 balls, with nine fours and two sixes. His knock played a crucial role, followed by a 73-run knock played by Josh Inglis. On the back of these knocks, PBKS chased down the target in 18.3 overs, scoring 187 runs for the loss of 3 wickets and winning the game by 7 wickets.

69 vs KKR – Match 44

At the Eden Gardens on April 26, the Kolkata Knight Riders hosted Punjab Kings in the 44th game of the tournament. The visiting skipper, Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Punjab’s opening pair of Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh provided an outstanding opening start of 120 runs in just 11.5 overs.

Priyansh Arya smashed 69 runs off just 35 balls, with eight fours and four sixes, followed by Singh’s 83 runs off just 49 balls, with six fours and as many sixes. On the back of these knocks, Punjab Kings scored 201 runs for the loss of just 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. However, the game ended without any result as the rain in the second innings forced the authorities to call off the game.

103 vs CSK – Match 22

Punjab Kings were hosting Chennai Super Kings in New Chandigarh in the 22nd game of the tournament. Once again, the hosts’ skipper, Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and asked his batters to take the charge. The young opener and talented southpaw Priyansh Arya made it to the headlines with a blistering century, scoring 103 runs off just 42 balls, with seven fours and nine sixes.

On the back of his knock, alongside Shashank Singh’s 52 runs off 36 balls in the lower order, helped PBKS post a big total of 219 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Later in the second innings, the PBKS bowlers defended the target, restricting CSK to a score of 201 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the entire 20 overs. Eventually, Iyer’s men won the game by 18 runs and Priyansh Arya won the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his match-winning and decisive knock.
