Predicting India’s Playing XI for their 3rd T20I against Afghanistan

The Men in Blue thrashed Afghanistan in the second T20I in Indore to seal another series victory. This ongoing series is essential for the Indian team considering the players will not get to play too many T20 international matches before the T20 World Cup. In this article, we will take a look at the likely playing XI for India in the 3rd T20 against Afghanistan in Bengaluru.

Top Order

Rohit Sharma

Captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be opening the innings for India in the 3rd T20I. Rohit had a disappointing outing in Indore too as he got out before scoring any run. The Indian captain would be desperate to score some runs in the next T20I. Yashasvi will also be eagerly waiting for this match as he has a great opportunity to consolidate his place in the Indian starting lineup.

At No.3 the former Indian captain Virat Kohli is a confirmed name. He played an impressive small knock in the last match where he displayed his positive intent and took on the opposition bowlers.

Middle Order

Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube has been the star of this series with his batting performances in the middle order. The all-rounder will keep his place intact in the starting lineup for the last match of this series as well. With the series already in the bad, team India might give a chance to Sanju Samson in the 3rd T20I. Rinku Singh will be the other crucial name in the Indian middle order.

Bowling Unit

Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh

Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh will be leading the pace attack for the Men in Blue as they did in the first two T20Is. Arshdeep picked up 3 wickets in Indore and the Indian fans would want a similar performance in Bengaluru which will not be an easy task for the left-arm pacer because the venue has traditionally been favourable to the batters.

Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Ravi Bishnoi will be forming the spin department and they will be wary of the challenge that Chinnaswamy Stadium poses.
