There are very few chances in this series that there will be any fiddling with the team combination as the main motto of Team India is to try out new faces. There might be a few changes but in the later part of the series.

The duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad will be opening the innings. Gaikwad could not do much in the last match because of an unlucky dismissal but he would be ready to contribute in the second T20I. At No.3 Ishan Kishan will be batting. He had a great outing in the first T20I at Vishakhapatnam and this would be another opportunity for him to continue the momentum.

Suryakumar Yadav, at No.4, was the main architect of the victory at Vishakhapatnam and there will be more expectations from him to contribute with the bat. Young Tilak Verma will be the one batting at No.5 for India and along with him will be Rinku Singh, at No.6, who finished the last match with unparalleled composure. Axar Patel would be handy in the lower middle order with his batting skills.

The inexperienced Indian bowling attack was punished by the Australians but it is unlikely that there will be any changes. Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Mukesh Kumar would be the three fast bowlers. Arshdeep and Prasidh would be looking for redemption whereas Mukesh Kumar should take the positives from the first match and continue the momentum in the second one as well.

Ravi Bishnoi had a tough day at Vishakhapatnam but team management must show faith in him as the young leg-spinner can prove to be a matchwinner on any given day. Axar Patel would be his partner in the spin department.
