Thisara Perera is one of Sri Lanka’s most dynamic all-rounders, known for his explosive batting, handy medium-pace bowling, and athleticism on the field. Born on April 3, 1989, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Perera has been a vital asset to the Sri Lankan cricket team across all formats.

Perera quickly established himself as a power-hitter down the order and a useful bowler capable of providing breakthroughs. One of his early notable performances came in the 2011 Cricket World Cup, where he played a crucial role in Sri Lanka’s journey to the final.

In limited-overs cricket, Perera’s aggressive batting style has often turned matches in Sri Lanka’s favor. He is known for his ability to clear the boundaries with ease and accelerate the scoring rate during the crucial stages of the game. Perera has been particularly effective in the death overs, where his aggressive stroke play often demoralizes opposition bowlers.

He has also played vital roles in T20 internationals, including his match-winning performance against India in the 2016 T20 World Cup, where he scored an unbeaten 47 runs and took two wickets to help Sri Lanka secure victory.
