Brian Lara was born on May 2, 1969 and is regarded as one of cricket’s greatest batter. Renowned for his elegant stroke play and record-breaking innings, Lara holds the record for the highest individual score in Test cricket with 400 not out. His impact on the game is legendary and also, he was arguably the best batter that the Caribbean Islands have ever produced. The legendary left-hand batter also holds the record for the highest first-class score, a colossal 501 not out. 

Additionally, he’s the only batter to reclaim the record for the highest Test score, surpassing his own previous record of 375. Lara’s batting feats remain unparalleled in the annals of cricket history. Throughout his career, the 54-year-old batter has amassed 11953 runs in Test match cricket whereas in the ODI format he has scored 10405 runs. Overall, he also accounted for 53 centuries in his illustrious cricket carrier

On April 18, 1994, Lara, representing the West Indies, achieved this remarkable feat against England at the Antigua Recreation Ground.
