ODI World Cup: 3 highest individual scores by Bangladesh players

Bangladesh made their debut in ODI World Cups in the 1999 edition. Thanks to the guidance of Gordon Greenidge as coach, the team did well in the World Cup qualifier, helping them qualify for the tournament. In that tournament, they beat their Asian neighbors, Pakistan that reached the final. Since then, they have qualified for every World Cup.

Not to forget, in the last few events, the Asian Tigers have directly qualified for the tournament. In 2007 and 2015, they crashed out of India and England. These teams became champions in 2011 and 2019 respectively. Meanwhile, in this listicle, we will discuss the highest individual scores by Bangladesh batters in World Cups.

The former all-rounder played another great innings for his team in the 2015 WC. After helping his side reach the quarter final by beating England, he carried his form against New Zealand. After losing the openers early, the right-hander provided stability and scored 128 runs.

The Green Brigade amassed 288/7 at the end of the innings. The home team, despite struggling, won the game by three wickets. His innings was appreciated by the local fans.

2. Shakib Al Hasan

The former skipper was the best all-rounder of the tournament in 2019. He was in the form of his life with the bat. Meanwhile, in the game against West Indies, the former champions had a decent inning with the bat as they scored 321/8 with no player scoring a century.

In reply, Bangladesh had a decent start but the likes of Shakib (124*) and Litton Das (94*) took the game away. They helped the team chase down the target in just 41.3 overs and with seven wickets in hand.

The all-rounder once again features in the list. In the game against England in 2019, the home team was looking for revenge for the 2015 loss. Jason Roy scored 150-odd and helped the team reach a daunting 386/6.

In reply, the Bangladesh batters struggled against good English bowling. However, Hasan stood tall and showed some fight with 121 runs. His side ended up with 281 all-out, losing the game by 106 runs
