MLC 2025: Predicting Washington Freedom’s Playing XI for their clash against the Los Angeles Knight Riders

The Major League Cricket League is underway in the United States of America, with six teams competing against each other to be crowned champions. Match eight of the Major League Cricket League will see the Los Angeles Knight Riders and the Washington Freedom go toe-to-toe against each other. While the Washington Freedom have won and lost a match each, the Los Angeles Knight Riders are still searching for their first victory this season. Both teams will be looking to add two crucial points to their tally by winning this all-important match. 

Here is the list of eleven players who are expected to represent the franchise, Washington Freedom, in this match.

Rachin Ravindra

The Washington Freedom batting unit was led by top Kiwi batter Rachin Ravindra, who played a match-winning knock in the last match. He will be assisted by Owen, Edwards and destructive finisher Glenn Philips. The team’s recent batting performance has improved considerably from their first fixture, where they managed to chase down a target of 149 runs.

Glenn Maxwell

The veteran Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will be in charge of providing balance with both bat and ball, along with Obus Pienaar and Ian Holland. Ian Holland was the pick of Washington’s bowlers during their last match against Seattle Orcas, where he picked up four wickets while conceding only 19 runs.

Saurabh Netravalkar

The two left-arm fast bowlers are expected to lead Washington’s attack in this important match. While Abhishek had an expensive spell at the last outing, Saurabh Netravalkar was economical as usual. Both the pacers will look to make the most of the conditions in the next match.
