MLC 2025: Predicting San Francisco Unicorns’ Playing XI against Seattle Orcas

San Francisco Unicorns have managed to make a terrific start to their MLC 2025 season, winning all four games so far. Unicorns next face the Orcas, who are yet to win a game so far this season. The Unicorns began the season with a huge win over Washington Freedom by 123 runs.

In the next match, the Unicorns beat LA Knight Riders by 32 runs and followed it up with a three-wicket win against MI New York. In their previous encounter, the Unicorns beat Texas by seven wickets to go top of the points table. San Francisco was able to chase down the 199 runs needed to win with ease, as they won the game with nearly four overs to spare.

Here is the likely Seattle Orcas vs San Francisco Unicorns

Matthew Short made a great start to his MLC 2025 season as he captained the Unicorns in the absence of Corey Anderson in the last game. Short scored 61 with the bat and was also named man of the match. Finn Allen has been the best batter for the MLC 2025 season with 294 runs from four games, which includes one century and two fifties so far.

Middle Order – Jake Fraser-McGurk, K Sanjay, Hassan Khan

Young Australian batter Jake McGurk has shown glimpses of his best form with the bat, scoring 132 runs from four games. The right-handed batter will have to be more consistent to help his side maintain the unbeaten start to the season. Sanjay has been a huge letdown with the bat so far, scoring a mere 58 runs from four innings. The 21-year-old will be hopeful of finding his amazing form in the next few games. Hassan Khan has been a key run getter for San Francisco, but hasn’t managed to convert his starts into big scores.

Lower-order- Tim Seifert, Haris Rauf, Carmi Le Roux

Kiwi wicketkeeper and batter Tim Seifert has scored 56 runs from the four matches so far this season. Seifert started the season as the opener but has been moved to the middle order for Matthew Short. Haris Rauf has done well so far to pick 11 wickets from 4 games with a best of 4/41 against LAKR. Carmi Le Roux has been decent with the ball, picking four wickets.

Tail enders – Brody Couch, Karima Gore, Xavier Bartlett

Medium pace bowler Couch has played just two games for the Unicorns this season and picked up two wickets. Couch will be key with the ball with his change of pace and also his ability to bat lower down the order. Karima Gore made his MLC debut in the last game but didn’t get a chance to bat or bowl, and will eagerly wait to make his mark. Xavier Bartlett has already done well for the Unicorns, taking seven wickets from four games with a best of 4/28 against the LAKR side.
