Manoj Prabhakar's top 3 performances in Test Cricket 

Manoj Prabhakar was one of the finest all-rounders for India during the 1990s. The former India cricketer was coaching the Nepal national cricket team a few days back. He was a crucial member of the squad that won the 1985 World Championship of Cricket, 1984 Asia Cup, 1990-91 Asia Cup and 1995 Asia Cup. He used to be an opener for the Men in Blue in both batting and bowling. The right-arm medium-pace bowler was known more for his bowling ability. 

The Delhi-based all-rounder played 130 ODIs and 39 tests for the nation picking up  157 wickets in One Day and 96 wickets in the longest format of the game. He holds the record for most matches played as the first batsman and bowler in both Test and ODI matches. But his career was short after he was involved in match-fixing he was then charged by the BCCI with involvement in match-fixing and was banned. 

But before all the scandals he has performed for India in Test cricket and has won games for them as well. In the article, we will be looking at some of the memorable performances of the cricketer in Test cricket.

3. 5/101 vs Aus at WACA 1992 

The all-rounder picked up his second five-wicket haul in the longest format of the game and picked  5 for 101 runs against mighty Australia at WACA Perth. Among the bowlers on the side, he was the best choice. The home side defeated India by 300 runs in the 5th Test. As the Men in Blue were bowled out for 141 runs while chasing a mammoth total of 442 runs. 

2. 120 vs WI 1994 

Opening the batting he played a knock of 120 runs and with the courtesy of his innings the Men in Blue could go past 350 runs and put 387 on the board in reply to 443. But they were beaten by the Windies by 243 runs as Prabhakar retired hurt in the dressing room without scoring. 

1. 6/132 vs PAK 1989 

In the 2nd Test against Pakistan Manoj Prabhakar was the pick of the bowlers for the side in the 1st innings of the game as he picked 6 wickets in the first innings and scored 54 runs and helped the match to get drawn.
