IPL 2026, Match 28 – Predicted KKR XI vs RR

IPL 2026, Match 28 - Predicted KKR XI vs RR

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) face the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, April 19. The three-time champions have been having a nightmarish campaign, losing five out of the six games they have played so far. The Knights have only one point on the board, which they earned from the washout against the Punjab Kings.

The hosts will have their task cut out for them, coming up against a dangerous Rajasthan Royals side, licking the wounds from their first defeat of the season in the last game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

KKR Predicted Playing XI vs RR, Match 28, IPL 2026

Top-order: Tim Seifert (WK), Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Tim Seifert replaced his compatriot, Finn Allen, in the last game and scored a 14-ball 19. He has come into the tournament on the back of a splendid performance in the T20 World Cup 2026.

Ajinkya Rahane has played some decent knocks but they have not helped KKR get their first win of the season. In six games, he has 152 runs at an average of 30.40. Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been KKR’s most consistent batter in IPL 2026. He has registered two fifties from six innings and batted at a strike rate of 157.03.

Middle-order: Cameron Green, Rovman Powell, Anukul Roy, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh

Cameron Green finally came good with the bat in the last game. He smashed 79 off 55 balls despite a slow start to his innings against the Gujarat Titans. Rovman Powell has looked good, but KKR would want more from the former West Indies T20 captain.

Anukul Roy has bowled decently but his batting form has been dismal. Rinku Singh has not been convincing at all. In five games this season, he is striking at just 117.92. Ramandeep Singh also had a slow start to IPL 2026 but in the last two matches, he has hit a few lusty blows. However, he is still nowhere close to his best.

Bowlers: Sunil Narine, Kartik Tyagi, Varun Chakaravarthy

Sunil Narine has been KKR’s best bowler once again. While he may only have four wickets to show for his efforts after playing five games, he has an exemplary economy of 6.89.

Kartik Tyagi has bowled with a lot of heart. There has been no shortage of effort from him. In six games, he has five wickets to his name in IPL 2026. Varun Chakaravarthy has bowled better in the last two games after recovering from an injury. However, KKR would want him to capitalise on the pressure created by Narine from the other end by bagging more wickets.

KKR Predicted XI:

Tim Seifert (WK), Ajinkya Rahane (C), Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Cameron Green, Rovman Powell, Anukul Roy, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy, Kartik Tyagi

Impact Player: Vaibhav Arora
