IPL 2026 Match 23: LSG Predicted Playing XI vs RCB

IPL 2026 Match 23: LSG Predicted Playing XI vs RCB

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Match 23 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 15.With both teams aiming to strengthen their position in the points table, this clash promises to be an intriguing contest between a strong RCB and LSG, who are having mixed results so far.

Led by Rishabh Pant, the LSG side has been a struggling unit so far in the ongoing IPL 2026, having won two of their first four games, while losing the other two. They would be looking to return to winning ways with a strong outing against RCB.

LSG Predicted Playing XI vs RCB, IPL 2026 Match 23:

Top-order: Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Rishabh Pant (C & WK)

On paper, the top-order of LSG is one of the strongest in the league. But has failed to perform so far in IPL 2026. Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram will continue to open the innings. Barring few starts, both have failed to make any significant contribution.

Captain Rishabh Pant has scored runs, but has not been at his fluent best and is struggling for rhythm despite scoring runs. If he comes back to his best, it will be a huge boost for LSG.

Middle-order: Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Mukul Choudhary

Nicholas Pooran has been the biggest disappointment so far for the Lucknow-based franchise. The 30-year-old has failed to cross even 20-run mark in IPL 2026, and that has been a concern for this middle-order. Pooran, at his best, can take down any bowling attack. Abdul Samad, too, has not contributed much. Mukul Choudhary will now feel the weight of expectations after his heroics against KKR.

Bowlers:  George Linde, Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Prince Yadav

India’s premier fast bowler Mohammed Shami headlines this bowling attack. He has been sensational in this IPL 2026, and will form a deadly duo with Prince Yadav. Yadav, too, has been a brilliant pick for LSG, as he has picked up six wickets so far in IPL 2026 for his side. Mystery spinner Digvesh Rathi will headline the spin department. South Africa’s left-arm spinner Linde will find a place in this playing XI.

LSG’s Predicted Playing XI:

Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Rishabh Pant (C & WK), Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Mukul Choudhary, George Linde, Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Prince Yadav

Impact Player: Ayush Badoni
