IPL 2025: Top 3 player battles to watch in GT vs LSG

In game no.64  of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). As the league stages are about to end, the Gujarat Titans want to finish in a good position. Currently Gujarat Titans are table toppers and hope to end in the top position to get in qualifier 1. However, GT has two games left and needs to win against LSG. If the teams lose the first spot, they will be placed in the eliminator. 

The game will be interesting for cricket fans to watch as there are many good players from both teams. Hence, on that note, we look at the top 3 players’ battles from the GT vs LSG game. 

1. Rashid Khan vs Nichalos Pooran: 

For LSG, Nicholas Pooran is in great form, and since the start of IPL 2025, he has been in roaring form. To get runs on the scoreboard, LSG will need him to score big runs. In the first meeting in IPL 2025, Pooran scored 61 runs in front of Rashid Khan.  In the IPL, Rashid Khan has taken two wickets twice, and Nicholas scored 37 runs ahead of him.

2. Mohammed Siraj vs Rishabh Pant:

As usual, Rishabh Pant struggles with the bat. The LSG captain has failed to live up to his price tag. In 12 matches, the LSG captain scored 135, and the team was eliminated from the IPL 2025 playoffs. When Pant has faced him in IPL, he has always struggled to score runs.  In IPL, he has got the wicket of Pant four times. However, in the first meeting, Siraj failed to get his wicket, but in the upcoming game, he might get a chance. 

3. Shardul Thakur vs Jos Buttler:

This could be Jos Buttler’s last game for GT before he leaves the team for national duty. GT is a strong team because the top order gets enough runs. With 500 runs Jos Buttler was in decent form and played many match winning innings for the team. Buttler form looks threatening for LSG, but Shardul Thakur has got buttler twice in IPL helps them to relax a bit.
