Sunrisers Hyderabad have endured a terrible IPL 2025 season as they crashed out of the tournament post their rained-out game against Delhi at home. Pat Cummins and Travis Head have confirmed their returns to the side to fulfil their commitments. SRH had reached the finals last season, but this year their form has been a complete letdown.
Hyderabad have played 11 games with seven points and have two more games left to play. After taking on LSG on Monday at the Ekana Stadium, SRH will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders in their final two games of the season. With the axe likely to fall on several players the next few matches could decide the future of many stars with SRH.
Here is the likely SRH XI vs LSG
Top order – Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma

Australian batter Travis Head is back in SRH’ colors to end the season before heading out to England for the WTC finals. The 31-year-old hasn’t enjoyed a great season so far but SRH fans will be hoping the slight break could have helped the batter’s confidence. Sharma, will want to continue from where he left off as he is SRH’s best batter this season.
Middle Order – Ishan Kishan, Sachin Baby, Abhinav Manohar

Ishan Kishan did well as a wicketkeeper in the last game for SRH against Delhi, taking four catches. The 26-year-old, though, needs to find his form with the bat to help SRH finish the season on a high. Sachin Baby didn’t get a chance to bat after being given his first game of the season in the last match. Abhinav Manohar has had a stop-and-start campaign and will want to do well and impress SRH’s team management.
Lower-order- Nitish Reddy, Kamindu Mendis, Aniket Verma

Young Nitish Reddy is set to tour England with the India A side in a few weeks. The 21-year-old will want to rediscover his 2024 form with the bat and ball if he has to be selected for the senior side. Kamindu Mendis has done decently well so far in the few games he has played this season. The Sri Lankan has impressed everyone with his ambidextrous talents. Aniket Verma has been the find of the season for SRH with his big-hitting skills. The right-handed batter has been earmarked as a potential India player in the white-ball format.
Tail-enders – Pat Cummins, Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat

Skipper Pat Cummins not only has to ensure that SRH finish the season with a few wins, but also will have to ensure that his form is good ahead of the WTC finals. Harshal Patel has been SRH’s best pacer after a slow start to the season, with 14 wickets so far. Unadkat will be preferred ahead of the misfiring Shami to close out the season for SRH.
