Rajasthan Royals stunned the world with their eight-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in their previous game. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripted history with his century in just 35 balls to help the Royals chase down the 210-run target with eight wickets left. This was also RR’s third win of the season that lifted them off the bottom of the table.
The next game for Riyan Parag and his side is against Mumbai Indians, a side that has won five games in succession. With qualification not in the realms for Rajasthan Royals, they would love to play spoilsports for Hardik Pandya and his side. RR have won the last two encounters against MI and Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored both his IPL tons against MI.
Here is the likely RR XI vs Mumbai Indians for their IPL 2025 clash
Top order

Rajasthan Royals will be delighted to see their new opening pair perform so well in the absence of Sanju Samson due to injury. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in good form with the bat in the last few games after a slow start to the season. Vaibhav Suryavanshi also came good with the bat and scored a historic century.
Middle Order

Skipper Riyan Parag has had a mixed bag season so far with the bat so far. The game against MI will give Parag a chance to express himself considering that RR are more or less out of the tournament. Nitish Rana and Dhruv Jurel have batted well this campaign and will play a key role in the middle order.
Lower-order

Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has been the best bowler for RR this season. Some of the MI batters have been suspect against spinners and Hasaranga could look to capitalize on this and put pressure on the opposition with the ball. Shimron Hetmyer hasn’t had a great season batting lower down the order but will look to end the season on a high. Jofra Archer will face his former teammates and look to create an impact with the ball. Archer has been bowling with top speeds in the last few games and has been handful with the new ball as well as the death overs.
Tail enders

Veteran pacer Sandeep Sharma has bowled well against Mumbai Indians and his only fifer in the IPL has come against the former champions. Sandeep over the years has been vital with his death bowling against the free-scoring batters that MI possesses. Maheesh Theekshana was brought in to shore up the bowling resources and fill the void left by Chahal and Ashwin. The Lankan star hasn’t been effective so far this season and the vs MI will provide Theekshana a chance to prove his worth. Yudhvir Singh Charak had troubled Rohit Sharma the last time the pair faced off against each other in a game. The 27-year-old bowls with decent pace and can be a handful on a skiddy track in Jaipur.
