Lucknow Super Giants are set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their penultimate home game of the season. Rishabh Pant and his side are currently seventh in the table with 10 points. They have to win all three games and hope the other results go their way to qualify for the playoffs. The last few games of the IPL 2025 season have seen LSG lose their previous three matches.
This string of losses has put LSG on the cusp of early elimination from the tournament. Pressure will be high on Rishabh Pant as massive questions will be asked about his captaincy after being purchased for INR 27 Crores. Pant has also failed to do well with the bat, having endured his worst season of IPL.
Here is the likely LSG XI vs SRH
Top order – Himmat Singh, Mitchell Marsh

Mitchell Marsh will have a key role to play with the bat, with Aiden Markram leaving to play the WTC finals. Marsh began the season well but lost his form in the previous few games. LSG will hope the Aussie can come good once again to help them stay in contention for a place in the playoffs. Himmat Singh has long been touted as one of the best batters in the domestic circuit. The Delhi-based batter will finally get a proper run with the bat and a chance to prove his talent.
Middle Order – Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant, Ayush Badoni

LSG will be looking at Nicholas Pooran to recapture his early-season form with the bat and come good in the final three games of the season. Pooran has been LSG’s best batter for the last few seasons, and the 29-year-old will want to end the season on a high. Rishabh Pant just has three games left to turn his form around ahead of the crucial England tour. Ayush Badoni has been an unsung performer once again, and a strong end to the season could even earn him a spot in India’s T20I side soon.
Lower-order- David Miller, Abdul Samad, Avesh Khan

David Miller is set to feature for LSG in the final few matches of the season. The left-handed batter has had a below-par season with just 153 runs from 11 games so far. Abdul Samad has found his big-hitting form once more and has been one of the few bright sparks for LSG this year. Avesh Khan has impressed everyone with his bowling, especially in the death overs, to earn massive praise from the experts. Khan has picked 10 wickets from 10 games with a best of 3/37.
Tail-enders – Shardul Thakur, Prince Yadav, Digvesh Rathi

Injury to Mayank Yadav means that Shardul Thakur could make his way back into the side for the final few matches. Thakur, who is likely to be picked for the England series, can get back into shape with a few impressive outings with the bat and ball. Prince Yadav and Digvesh Rathi have managed to impress everyone so far and will want to end their season on a positive note.
