IPL 2025: 3 batters to watch out for in DC vs KKR clash

The Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) square off in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 matchup number 1.48 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.  Axar Patel is leading Delhi Capitals into the playoffs as they aim to win the title. On the other hand, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders, led by Ajinkya Rahane, struggle to hold a strong position this season. 

Kolkata Knight Riders are in seventh place and are having trouble. With the race for playoffs getting fast among the others KKR needs to find rhythm soon or else the title will get out of their hands. For Delhi Capitals, things are different as they are most qualified for the playoffs and will look to go till the end of IPL 2025. 

1. Abhishek Porel 

Abhishek Porel looks in great form as he is giving DC good starts and wants to help them lift their first IPL title. Abhishek Porel got his chance in the playing XI due to the poor performance of Jake Fraser-McGurk. Since then, he has locked down the opening spot of the team. In the last game, he scored 51 runs and led his team to victory. 

2. Kaur Nair

Kaur Nair brings power and stability to the DC batting attack. He makes a significant contribution to the squad and is among the batting line’s strongest foundations. He provides batting depth and game-ending ability to the team. Batting in the middle, Kaur Nair will look to have a partnership with other batters to put on a good total.

3. Rahmanullah Gurbaz

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is known for his attacking style. The game against the Gujarat Titans was his debut game with KKR in IPL 2025. KKR added keeper batsman Ahmanullah Gurbaz after Quinton de Kock was dropped due to poor play. He has played two games till now and is yet to make an impact. However, in upcoming games, he is likely to play a few good knocks for KKR.
