IPL 2024: Predicting Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Playing XI for their clash against Lucknow Super Giants

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are all set to lock horns against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 57th game of IPL 2024, which is slated to take place on May 8 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Notably, LSG lost their last game against KKR. On the other hand, SRH also suffered a defeat against the five-time winners, the Mumbai Indians, in the recent clash.

Meanwhile, both sides aim to win the next game after being placed in the same spot with six wins and five losses in the tournament so far. However, let’s check out the probable playing XI of the SRH side against the LSG clash.

Openers: Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head

Notably, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head will once again be looking to post the maximum runs in the power plays in their next game against the LSG side. Travis Head seems to be in magnificent form, which is the biggest threat to LSG. However, Abhishek Sharma was looking great at the start of the campaign, but he needs to score runs in the remaining games to help SRH stand in a strong position.

Batters: Heinrich Klaasen, Mayank Agarwal, and Abdul Samad

Heinrich Klaasen is looking wonderful this year and guiding SRH to some epic wins in the ongoing marquee event. The star cricketer will once again look to do well against the LSG bowlers in the next game. On the other hand, Abdul Samad was looking great in some of the games, but he still needs to score runs. However, Mayank Agarwal has again found his place in the starting XI from the last game, but he needs to score runs in the rest of the matches for the side.

All-rounders: N.K. Reddy, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Marco Jansen

N.K. Reddy had scored an unbeaten 76 runs from 42 balls in the game against RR; however, he wasn’t able to scalp the wickets. Following that, he only scored 20 runs in the last game against MI. Notably, the star cricketer will once again be looking to dominate against LSG bowlers. On the other hand, Shahbaz Ahmed and Marco Jansen will bat in the lower order and also hold the responsibility of picking up some wickets. Ahmed and Jansen were dismissed for 10 and 17 runs, respectively, in the last game against MI; however, they need to take the initiative to fill their roles in the next game.

Bowlers: Pat Cummins, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T. Natrajan

Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar seem to be magnificent, especially in the death overs and in the power plays. Kumar took the wicket on the last bowl against RR and guided his side to an epic one-run win. However, Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were just able to get one wicket in the last clash against MI, which made them lose the game. Meanwhile, Natrajan was wicketless in the last game, and he needs to take responsibility well for the next game.
