IPL 2024: Predicting Rajasthan Royals’ Playing XI for their clash against Punjab Kings

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) have been playing some excellent cricket this IPL season. Out of their last five games, they have only lost one. With eight points, they are in the lead in the standings and appear to be a serious playoff contender. The Punjab Kings (PBKS), on the other hand, are in seventh place in the standings after only winning two of their last five games. Before their matchup with PBKS, RR will try to keep up their momentum and win easily.  

Let’s predict the playing XI of Rajasthan Royals before the match against Gujarat Titans.

Top Order

Three outstanding batsmen, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, and Sanju Samson, make up RR’s top order. So far in the IPL, all three players have shown consistency and contributed individual knocks that have been very beneficial to the squad. Additionally, Buttler’s stunning century helped RR defeat RCB. They will therefore be expected to play with the same strategy in the next games. 

Middle Order

Now that Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, and Dhruv Jurel are back in form, RR’s middle order appears even more formidable. Riyan has made three half-centuries in five matches at this year’s IPL, which is an incredibly impressive achievement. He has essentially evolved into RR’s core. Additionally, Hetmyer’s brief appearances contributed to the team’s enormous scoring totals. RR is at the top of the leaderboard because of the combined efforts of all the batters.  

Lower middle order and bowlers

The team’s other bowlers, Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Nandre Burger, and Yuzvendra Chahal, are all elite bowlers with a wide variety of variations and speed. Each player on the team can swing the bat well, which is an extra benefit when it comes to hitting.
