IPL 2024: Predicting GT’s Playing XI for their clash against KKR

The Gujarat Titans are all set to take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 63rd game of IPL 2024, which is slated to take place on May 13 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Notably, the Shubman Gill-led side is currently in the eighth spot, having had five wins and seven losses in the tournament so far. On the other hand, the KKR has already made it to the playoffs.

However, the Gujarat Titans, who back-to-back made the playoffs of IPL 2022 and 2023, aim to win their next match against the KKR.

In the same vein, here is the probable playing XI of the Gujarat Titans against the KKR.

Openers: Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill

Notably, Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill are set to open the innings for the Gujarat Titans, and both will be looking to give the side a great start. In addition, Shubman Gill was in sublime form back in the IPL 2023; however, he has yet to mark his impact in the IPL 2024.

Meanwhile, the young batter needs to show his form in the ongoing event if he aims to place himself in the startling XI of the T20 World Cup 2024, as India already has Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal as the settled openers. However, both batters hammered the magnificent tonne in the last clash against CSK and went on to win the game by 35 runs.

Batters: Shahrukh Khan, David Miller, and Matthew Wade

Notably, Shahrukh Khan, David Miller, and Matthew Wade will be the three important batters from the Gujarat Titans camp, and they will be looking to boost the middle order.

David Miller played a crucial role in the IPL 2022 final game against RR; however, Shahrukh Khan and Wade seem to be in great form this year and have the opportunity to do wonders in the next game.

All Rounders: Azmatullah Omarzai and Rahul Tewatia

The two key all-rounders from the Gujarat Titans camp who hope to take a few wickets and support the bottom order are Rahul Tewatia and Azmatullah Omarzai. Notably, Rahul Tewatia is the power hitter and can smash many boundaries, especially in the death overs against the KKR side.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Umesh Yadav, Noor Ahmad, and Mohit Sharma

Notably, Rashid Khan will be the main spinner from GT Camp, and he has the ability to bat in the lower order. However, Mohit Sharma played a crucial role in guiding GT to enter the final back in IPL 2023; however, he is also looking into the sublime form this year as well.

Meanwhile, Umesh Yadav and Noor Ahmad also hold equal responsibility for scalping the wickets against the KKR side. However, there is a full possibility that the side might use Sandeep Warrier or Kartik Tyagi as an impact player.
