In the second ODI against Australia of the seven-match ODI series, Indian opener Rohit Sharma delivered a match-winning, spectacular unbroken 141 runs off just 123 balls, including 17 fours and 4 sixes. 

This performance allowed India to chase the daunting target of 360 with immense ease. This was Rohit Sharma’s only third one-day international century, and it was his first against Australia in ODIs. He reached his 3rd ODI hundred within 102 balls and accelerated from there on in to take India to a famous win.

2. 171(163) in 2016

During the opening One-Day International match against Australia, India’s superstar opener Rohit Sharma hammered a record-breaking undefeated 171 runs off 163 balls, including 13 fours and 7 sixes. 

This massive contribution allowed India to put up a huge total of 309 runs against the world champions at that time, Australia. Rohit Sharma 171* became the fifth-highest ODI score in Australia, the best score for an Indian batsman there, and the third-highest ODI score for India at that moment of time.

1. 209(158) in 2013

Rohit Sharma struck 209 versus Australia in Bangalore’s M Chinnaswamy stadium, breaking the record for most sixes in an ODI innings with 16, at that time. He was only the second double centurion after the great Sachin Tendulkar who had achieved a similar feat, back in 2012

Rohit, who was named Man of the Match, led India to a 57-run victory and a 3-2 victory in the seven-match series. The exceptional innings also featured 12 fours which all looked class from his bat during that match.
