IMLT20: 3 batters to watch out for in the England Masters vs Australia Masters 

The International Masters League has seen the former cricketing stars come out and show their talents with the bat and ball. England and Australia will play each other in the final league match of the campaign as the tournament heads to the playoff stages. While Australia are through, England are out of the competition. 

Eoin Morgan’s England side have endured a frustrating campaign with their batters unable to score runs. Australia on the other hand don’t have such issues as they have been one of the top sides in the campaign with the bat in hand. The game on Wednesday doesn’t hold any significance apart from pride for England and brownie points for Australia. 

Here are the top 3 batters to watch out for in the ENG-M vs AUS-M game in the IML T20:

1. Eoin Morgan

Skipper Eoin Morgan has been the only consistent batter for England in the ongoing IMLT20 tournament. The left-handed batter has taken the onus upon himself to score runs for his side and make sure that England posts a decent total on the board. Morgan scored 36 in the game against South Africa but that wasn’t enough as England ended up on the losing side.

2. Ben Dunk

Former Australian player Ben Dunk was known to be a ferocious striker of the ball in his prime. The left-handed batter has scored 237 runs from four games including an unbeaten 132 against India. So far Dunk averages 118.5 with the bat and has been one of the most dangerous batters in the league phases. Considering the form England bowlers are in, one cannot rule out the batter to make merry with the bat once again.

3. Shane Watson

The best batter of the IMLT20 tournament has been Shane Watson with 355 runs from four matches with three centuries. Watson has an average of 177.5 and has shown the world that he is still a dangerous batter in the T20 format. Watson began the tournament with his knock of 107 against West Indies and followed it up with 16 against Sri Lanka. The 44-year-old then scored 110 not out vs India and followed it up with 122 not out against South Africa.
