ILT20 2025: Predicting MI Emirates’ Playing XI for their clash against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders 

MI Emirates are set to take on Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in a key clash in the ILT20 tournament. At this stage of the tournament, MI Emirates are second in the table with six points from five matches. Abu Dhabi Knight Riders on the other hand are third in the table with four points from five matches. 

If MI Emirates lose the game they could see their second spot in the table being usurped by their opponents. With Dubai Capitals and Sharjah Warriorz who have four points each, MI Emirates cannot lose the game. If they happen to win they will have eight points from six games heading into the final few games of the season.

Kusal Perera

Sri Lankan star Kusal Perera has been showing great form for MI Emirates with 129 runs from five games so far this season. The 34-year-old has been giving his team great starts so far with the bat. Muhammad Waseem began the season slowly but his 38 runs in the last match showed that the 30-year-old is slowly coming back to form.

Tom Banton

England batter Tom Banton has been in good form so far this season with 207 runs which also includes a century. Skipper Nicholas Pooran has been at his destructive best with the bat scoring 184 runs with two fifties with an average of 46. Veteran star Kieron Pollard has played the role of a finisher well and scored 79 runs from five matches.

Romario Shepherd

English star Dan Mousley has played just three games and managed two score 21 runs from the two innings he batted. With the ball, the 23-year-old has picked two wickets and shown what a great asset he can be. Romario Shepherd has been the muscle in the final overs of the innings scoring 58 runs and also picking three wickets. Akeal Hossein has been a huge let down this year with just one wicket so far from five matches.

Alzarri Joseph

Pace bowler Zahoor Khan has bowled with decent speeds and picked four wickets so far this campaign. West Indian pacer Alzarri Joseph has already made a difference since his inclusion in the team with seven wickets from four games. Fazalhaq Farooqi has been one of the best pacers this season with 12 wickets so far which also includes a fifer.
