GSL 2025: Predicting CD playing XI for match 10

Central Districts will lock horns with Rangpur Riders in match 10th of the ongoing Global Super League (GSL 2025). This match will be held at the Providence Stadium, Guyana, on Thursday, July 17. Districts have had a forgettable season so far, winning just one out of the three games played. They are currently languishing at the bottom of the table. On the other hand, Rangpur Riders won their first two games and will be up against Dubai Capitals before they take on Central Districts.

Here’s the probable playing XI of Central Districts for the 10th match of the GSL 2025:

Top Order:

Will Young

Districts are set to retain their top order for the game, with Will Young and skipper Tom Bruce to open the innings. Young so far has scored 69 runs in three innings, with the best of 26 coming against the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Meanwhile, Bruce has been the best batter for his side and is currently the third-highest run getter of the tournament, with 97 runs in three innings. Batting all-rounder Josh Clarkson will walk in at No.3 and is expected to play the anchor’s role.

Middle Order:

Dane Cleaver

The middle order is likely to include wicketkeeper-batter, Dane Cleaver. While his last three games have not gone as expected, he has the potential to make a huge impact. Curtis Heaphy and Dean Foxcroft are given the responsibility of finishers, and will have to complete the job to perfection. Heaphy is riding high on confidence after his unbeaten fifty in the previous game. Furthermore, Foxcroft has delivered with the ball, but his batting needs to do the talking in the forthcoming match.

Bowlers:

Angus Schaw

Angus Schaw will lead the pace department for the Districts and has taken six wickets in three games for them. Jayden Lennox and Blair Tickner have so far picked up one and five wickets, respectively. The main responsibility to lead the spin attack will be on Ajaz Patel, who finished with figures of 2/18 in the last game before going wicketless in the first two matches.
