However, they would be hoping to put up a better performance in the Champions Trophy 2025. While their bowling unit looks good, Bangladesh does seem to have a bit of weakness in their batting. The three batters who could score the most runs for Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy 2025:

1. Towhid Hridoy

His heroics with the bat helped Bangladesh to enter the quarterfinal and the semifinal of the ODI WC 2015 and the CT 2017.

Years have passed by and Mahmudullah is still Bangladesh’s best ODI batter. In the ODI WC 2023, he was one of the best finishers and batted well against the top teams of the tournament. Against big teams, he always holds the key for his team. While he bats slightly lower down the order, the experienced batter could still be one of the highest run scorers for Bangladesh in the CT 2025.

3. Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim might play his last big ODI tournament for Bangladesh and could be their best batter. Rahim is one of the greatest Bangladeshi players of all-time given his performances as a batter and as a WK across formats. ODIs is his best format and he steps up in the big tournaments against big teams. 

Rahim will be important for Bangladesh to have any chance in the CT 2025. He can bat at a fairly good rate on flat surfaces and can anchor the innings well on slower surfaces. Rahim can bat longer and deeper to help batters at the other end. Mushfiqur is the most experienced Bangladeshi player and is one of the oldest ODI players alive. His batting could decide Bangladesh’s fate in the CT 2025.
