Champions Trophy 2025: Predicting South Africa’s Playing XI for their clash against England

Champions Trophy 2025: Predicting South Africa's Playing XI for their clash against England

The South African side is all set to lock horns with England in the last group-stage match of Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled to take place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, Pakistan, on March 1. It is unfortunate for the England team as they have already been eliminated from the tournament, while South Africa must beat England in order to reach and confirm their place in the knock-outs.

The South African team emerged victorious in the match against Afghanistan during the tournament opener. However, in their match against Australia, luck was not much in favour of the team. The match was washed out by rain, resulting in both teams being awarded with a point each. Winning this game will be a direct chance for the Proteas to reach the semi-finals, but the England team has to return after being disappointed from the Champions Trophy 2025 season.

For the match tomorrow, the weather conditions appear favourable, with just 5% chances of precipitation. So, we can hope that during this match, rain will not play spoilsport during the exciting encounter.

Looking at the two sides, the key players for the clash can be Kagiso Rabada, Temba Buvamu, Jofra Archer and Harry Brook. Temba Buvamu is expected to shine in the middle order and can significantly help the South Africa team by scoring a good amount of runs, while Jofra Archer’s role is going to be very important if the team is looking to defeat South Africa.

Here is the complete squad of South Africa:

Tony de Zorzi, Rassie Van der Dussen, Temba Bavuma, Ryan Rickelton, David Miller, Aiden Makram, Marco Jensen, Wiaan Mulder, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi, Heinrich Klaasen, Corbin Bosch, Tristan Stubbs

South Africa’s Predicted XI for the crucial match against England:

Temba Bavuma (Captain), Ryan Rickelton (wk), Rassie van der Dussen, Tony de Zorzi, David Miller, Marco Jansen, Aiden Makram, Kagiso Rabada, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi
