Brisbane Heat trounced Sydney Sixers in the BBL final to lift the title for the second time. It has been an impressive campaign for the franchise from Brisbane and they are undoubtedly the deserving champions of the league. In the final Brisbane Heat performed exceedingly well and dominated the summit clash against a formidable Sydney Sixers. There were some fumbles in the first innings when they were trying to post runs on the board but they recovered from it quite well. In high-stake encounters, it is never easy to recover when wickets fall in quick succession but the resilience that Heat displayed was phenomenal. 

In the second innings, they completely dominated the opposition and blew them out of the contest to lift the title. This was one of the most comprehensive performances that the champions have delivered this season.

Another outstanding performance that Brisbane Heat delivered was in the playoff against Adelaide Strikers. The 2-time champions were right on top from the word go and the domination continued till the last ball. Heat batted first in this match as well but this time it was a much better performance and they scored 214 runs in the first innings. 

When Adelaide came into bat, they struggled a lot and eventually crumbled for 160 runs. With this convincing victory, Brisbane booked their place in the final.

This was probably the most comprehensive performance from Brisbane Heat in the group stage. It was the initial stage of the tournament when Brisbane clashed with Melbourne Stars and completely outfoxed the opposition. 

Batting first Heat went beyond the 200-run mark courtesy of Colin Munro’s 99-run knock. In the end, Brisbane won the match by a huge margin of 103 runs because of the outstanding bowling effort in the second innings.
