BPL 2025-26: Predicating Chattogram Royals XI and Rangpur Riders XI for match 5

Chattogram Royals and Rangpur Riders will clash in match 5 of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL 2025-26) on December 29, 2025 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.

Chattogram Royals have played their first game in the ongoing BPL 2025-26 and won it. On the other hand, Rangpur Riders will play their maiden game in the BPL 2025-26 tournament and will want to make a good start with a win.

Captain Mahedi Hasan has scored 941 runs at a strike rate of 126.47 with six fifties to his name. Big-hitter Ziaur Rahman has impressed with 935 runs at a strike rate of 128.25 in 80 BPL games.

Lower Order: Abu Hider, Masood Gurbaz (WK)

Abu Hider has scored 237 runs and taken 79 wickets at an economy of 8.26, with best bowling figures of 5/12. Afghanistan’s Masood Gurbaz will keep wickets for Chattogram Royals. He has scored 107 runs in 17 T20 games.

Bowlers: Shoriful Islam, Mukidul Islam, Tanvir Islam

With 63 wickets at an economy of 8.89 in 49 BPL games, Shoriful Islam will look to maintain his record. Mukidul Islam has taken 32 wickets in BPL’s 32 games at an economy of 8.82 and best bowling figures of 5/32. Tanvir Islam has taken 61 wickets at an economy of 7.39 in 58 BPL games, with best bowling figures of 4/13.

Iftikhar Ahmed has made 656 runs at a strike rate of 136.95 in 23 games, with a best score of 100*. Mahmudullah is the third-highest run-getter in the BPL tournament. He has scored 2726 runs at a strike rate of 124.13 in 133 games, with a best score of 73. He has also taken 47 wickets at an economy of 7.14.  

Lower Order: Nurul Hasan (WK), Mrittunjoy Chowdhury

Nurul Hasan has 1452 runs in 115 BPL games at a strike rate of 123.05, with one fifty. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury has taken 33 wickets at an economy of 8.65 in 25 games in the BPL.

Bowlers: Mustafizur Rahman, Faheem Ashraf, Nahid Rana

Mustafizur Rahman has been excellent in the tournament, with 105 wickets at an economy of 7.14 in 82 BPL games, with best bowling figures of 5/27. Faheem Ashraf has taken 30 wickets with best bowling figures of 5/7 and an economy of 7.58. Bangladesh’s fastest bowler, Nahid Rana, has taken 14 wickets in 17 BPL games thus far.
