BBL 2025-26: Predicting Brisbane Heat XI for match 6

Brisbane Heat will take on the Perth Scorchers in the 6th match of the BBL 2025-26 on Friday, December 19, at The Gabba in Brisbane. The Heat won three out of 10 matches last season and finished in seventh place. 

In the first game this season against the Melbourne Renegades, the Heat won the toss and elected to bowl. The Renegades scored 212 runs for the loss of five wickets. Jack Wildermuth was the pick of the bowlers for the Heat and took three wickets for 34 runs in four overs. 

Colin Munro provided a solid start with a half-century at the top order in the chase. However, the middle order could not capitalize on the same. Jimmy Peirson scored 50 runs off 22 deliveries in the end, as Heat finished with 198 runs for the loss of eight wickets and lost the match by 14 runs.

Colin Munro, Jack Wildermuth, and Nathan McSweeney will likely be a part of the top order in the playing 11. Munro was the highest scorer for the team in the first match with 55 runs off 32 deliveries.

Middle Order:

Matt Renshaw

Matt Renshaw and Max Bryant are likely to be there in the middle order. Renshaw was the highest run-scorer for the Heat last season with 280 runs to his name in nine games at a strike rate of 169.69.

Xavier Bartlett

Xavier Bartlett, Shaheen Afridi, Liam Haskett, and Patrick Dooley coulds be the four bowlers for the team. Bartlett was the second-highest wicket-taker for the Heat last season and took 12 wickets in nine games at an average of 27.75.
