BBL 2024-25: Predicting Adelaide Strikers’ Playing XI for their clash against Brisbane Heat

Check out the predicted Adelaide Strikers’ Playing XI as they gear up to face Brisbane Heat. The Adelaide Strikers are all set to host Brisbane Heat in the 31st match of the Big Bash League 2024-25. The two teams have had contrasting seasons so far. While Brisbane are fighting for the top two spots, Adelaide are at the bottom of the points table. The Brisbane Heat have won three of their seven games so far, while the Adelaide Strikers have just managed two.

Now, the Adelaide Strikers can mathematically still qualify for the top four, but they will have to win all their remaining games. For that, they will have to perform significantly better. Here, we look at Adelaide Strikers’ probable playing XI for their clash against Brisbane Heat.

Top Order:

Matthew Short

Matthew Short could be back in the playing XI after missing out on the last few matches of the tournament. The team captain will have a vital role to play at the top of the order for the Strikers. Chris Lynn has been in decent form with the bat this season. He will have to continue that against the Brisbane Heat. Apart from him, D’Arcy Short will have to step up his game at the top of the order.

Middle Order:

Matthew Short

Ollie Pope and Alex Ross haven’t had the best time with the bat this season. However, they would be hopeful of turning things around in the upcoming match. Jamie Overton, on the other hand, has been the best performer for his team. He has done the job with the bat, being the highest-run scorer for them, and has been among the wickets as well. Liam Scott would look to take some inspiration from him and do well.

Lower Order:

Henry Thornton

Henry Thornton and Lloyd Pope have been the joint-highest wicket-takers for the team this season. Together with James Bazley, they would want to continue their wicket-taking run in the remainder of the tournament. Cameron Boyce also has been decent so far, with five wickets to his name. He would, however, want to get better in the next game.
