Asia Cup 2025: 3 Bangladesh players to watch out for

Bangladesh are placed in Group B, along with Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong in Asia Cup 2025. They have won eight out of 20 T20Is against Sri Lanka, five out of 12 against Afghanistan while they have faced Hong Kong in just a single game, which they lost by two wickets.

The team made their Asia Cup debut in 1984 and have featured in 15 editions so far. They have finished as runners-up on three occasions in 2012, 2016, and 2018. Bangladesh have won and lost seven games each so far this year. At the start of this year, Bangladesh suffered a series of losses against the UAE and Pakistan. He is the third-highest run-scorer for Bangladesh in T20Is overall, and is just 63 runs away from reaching the 2500-run mark. Litton also has the record to score most number of half-centuries for Bangladesh in T20Is.

3. Taskin Ahmed

Taskin Ahmed is the third-highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in T20Is and has taken a total of 94 wickets in 78 games at an average of 21.93, an economy of 7.56, and a strike rate of 17.3. Taskin took seven wickets for 19 runs in a match in the Bangladesh Premier League this year, becoming one of the three bowlers with a seven-wicket haul in T20s.

3. Mustafizur Rahman

Mustafizur Rahman is the second-highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in T20Is. He has taken 142 wickets in 113 matches at an average of 20.84, an economy of 7.30, and a strike rate of 17.1. He has the chance to become the first Bangladesh bowler to take over 150 wickets in T20Is in this tournament. He holds the record for having the best figures in a T20I game for Bangladesh.
