Antigua and Barbuda Falcons Playing XI for Match 15 of CPL 2026 against Guyana Amazon Warriors

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons Playing XI for Match 15 of CPL 2026 against Guyana Amazon Warriors

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in Match 15 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, on Sunday, August 23. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM local time, with both teams looking to strengthen their position in the league standings.

The Falcons have made a decent start to their campaign, winning two of their first four matches. They will enter the contest following their three-wicket victory over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, a game in which Evin Lewis, Hasan Nawaz and Shadab Khan played important roles during the chase.

However, the Falcons will need to make a quick assessment of their combination following their Match 14 clash against Trinbago Knight Riders. Their latest XI featured Amir Jangoo, Evin Lewis, Rahkeem Cornwall, Hasan Nawaz, Moeen Ali, Shadab Khan, Kusal Perera, Shamar Springer, Alzarri Joseph, Joshua James and Jayden Seales.

With Guyana boasting a strong squad featuring Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, Glenn Phillips, Mohammad Nabi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the Falcons will need their best combination on the field.

Here is the predicted playing XI of Antigua and Barbuda Falcons for Match 15 against Guyana Amazon Warriors.

1. Amir Jangoo (wk)

Amir Jangoo is likely to continue as the wicketkeeper-opener. The right-hander has been given responsibility at the top of the order and can provide the Falcons with an aggressive start.

Jangoo’s ability to rotate the strike while also finding boundaries makes him an important component of the batting unit. Against Guyana’s quality bowling attack, he will have to provide Evin Lewis with support during the powerplay.

2. Evin Lewis

Evin Lewis remains one of the Falcons’ biggest batting weapons.

The explosive left-hander has already emerged as the team’s leading run-scorer in CPL 2026, with 103 runs to his name after the early stages of the competition. He played a crucial 48 in the Falcons’ victory over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

His ability to dominate the powerplay could be particularly important against Guyana’s new-ball attack. If Lewis gets through the first few overs, he can put the Warriors under significant pressure.

3. Rahkeem Cornwall

Rahkeem Cornwall should retain his place in the top order after featuring in the Falcons’ most recent XI.

The powerful all-rounder provides a unique dimension to the batting unit. He can attack spin and pace with enormous hitting power, while his off-spin gives captain Moeen Ali another bowling option.

Cornwall’s role could become especially important if the Falcons want to counter Guyana’s spinners during the middle overs.

4. Hasan Nawaz

Hasan Nawaz has quickly emerged as an important part of the Falcons’ batting plans.

He produced a valuable 33 during the successful chase against St Kitts and Nevis, playing an important role alongside Shadab Khan in turning the game in Antigua’s favour.

His ability to attack the bowling in the middle overs makes him a useful No. 4, particularly if Lewis and Jangoo provide a strong foundation.

5. Moeen Ali (c)

Captain Moeen Ali is expected to retain his place in the middle order.

The experienced English all-rounder gives the Falcons leadership, batting depth and a reliable spin option. Moeen’s experience in T20 cricket will be particularly valuable against a Guyana side packed with international stars.

His off-spin could also be used to disrupt partnerships involving Guyana’s right-handed batters.

6. Shadab Khan

Shadab Khan has been one of the Falcons’ most influential players in the tournament and should continue at No. 6.

The Pakistan all-rounder smashed 30 off just 12 balls against St Kitts and Nevis, helping the Falcons chase down 188 in the final over.

His leg-spin is equally important, giving the Falcons a genuine wicket-taking option in the middle overs. Shadab’s ability to contribute in all three departments makes him a key player against Guyana.

7. Kusal Perera

Kusal Perera is likely to retain his place after featuring in the previous match.

The Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batter adds considerable international experience to the middle and lower order. He scored 21 off 19 balls in the Falcons’ latest game against Trinbago Knight Riders.

Perera’s ability to play spin effectively could be useful against Guyana’s varied bowling attack.

8. Shamar Springer

Shamar Springer should continue as a pace-bowling all-rounder.

The West Indian provides valuable depth with the bat while also giving Moeen Ali another seam option. Springer contributed during the Falcons’ successful chase against St Kitts and Nevis and can be trusted to deliver useful overs.

His ability to bowl hard lengths could be important against Guyana’s aggressive top order.

9. Alzarri Joseph

Alzarri Joseph is likely to lead the Falcons’ pace attack.

The fast bowler has been their leading wicket-taker in CPL 2026, with seven wickets to his name after the first few matches.

His pace and ability to extract bounce make him particularly dangerous at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. Joseph will be expected to attack Guyana’s top order and provide breakthroughs with the new ball.

10. Joshua James

Joshua James should retain his place in the bowling attack. The young all-rounder provides another seam option and has been part of the Falcons’ preferred combination.

His ability to contribute in both departments gives Moeen greater flexibility, particularly if the captain wants to use different bowling combinations depending on match-ups.

11. Jayden Seales

Jayden Seales is expected to complete the XI.

The right-arm pacer has considerable experience at international level and is capable of generating movement with the new ball. His variations at the death also make him an important component of the Falcons’ attack.

Against a Guyana batting line-up containing Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Glenn Phillips, Seales will have to be particularly disciplined.

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons Predicted Playing XI

Amir Jangoo (wk), Evin Lewis, Rahkeem Cornwall, Hasan Nawaz, Moeen Ali (c), Shadab Khan, Kusal Perera, Shamar Springer, Alzarri Joseph, Joshua James, Jayden Seales
