3 things India need to do to bounce back to winning ways against Australia in 1st T20I

An outstanding World Cup campaign for India has ended but with a heartbreak. The Men in Blue need to move on and focus on the positives rather than harping on the loss in the final. The World Cup campaign was almost perfect but there are still a few areas where they can improve a lot. Let’s take a look at 3 things India needs to do to bounce back to win against Australia in 1st T20I.

Continue The Fearless Approach

Rohit Sharma

The Indian team could not win the World Cup final because they could not come out of their shell after losing initial wickets. Rohit Sharma has tried to inculcate a fearless approach in this team which must be carried on. This series will be a great chance for young guns to play their natural cricket and go all guns blazing right from the first ball which is exactly what the new philosophy of Indian cricket is.

Spin To Win It

Yuzvendra Chahal

In the World Cup final spinners could not step up which proved disastrous for Team India. Yuzvendra Chahal could not find his place in the squad which raised a lot of eyebrows as a leg-spinner is always a wicket-taking option. Ravi Bishnoi is there in the squad and he should be nurtured as one of the main spinners in the squad. Considering the next T20 World Cup is just 6 months away he should be given consistent opportunities to prove himself on the international stage.

Suryakumar Yadav – The Key to Success

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav could not express himself in the World Cup final which really harmed the prospects of India in the summit clash. He will always hold a lot of significance in the shortest format as he has been arguably the best batter in this format for India. He has been scoring runs in the middle order for Mumbai Indians in IPL which has earned him recognition in T20 cricket. After taking the role as the captain, Surya must take responsibility against Australia in the series as a lot of senior players are not in the squad.
