Delhi Capitals have one of the most talented groups of Indian players in WPL. The potential that Delhi has in terms of local players is one of its key strengths. Players like Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, and Titas Sadhu are some of the crucial young Indian players who will hold a lot of importance for the franchise. They also have experienced Indian faces like Shikha Pandey and Poonam Yadav who will assist captain Meg Lanning. Having a strong Indian contingent is a key to success in WPL and Delhi Capitals can take the lead in this aspect.

Delhi Capitals reached the finals last season and their bowling performance created their pathway to the summit clash. Bowlers like Shikha Pandey and Marizanne Kapp performed consistently throughout the season. Pandey took 10 wickets in the last season whereas Kapp had 9 wickets to her name. The two had support from Jess Jonassen and Alice Capsey who picked up 9 and 6 wickets each. It is this bowling unit that is expected to do the job for Delhi once again in the upcoming season.
