3 players who have played for most IPL franchises 

It has been 15 years since the Indian Premier League (IPL) came into existence. Over the years, a lot of players have played and gone but the league has continued to it’s merry ways. Even the spot-fixing saga in 2013 and the likes of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals getting hasn’t hampered the league much.

Meanwhile, there have been some players who have had a long IPL careers but not the stable ones. Apparently, they have shifted from one team to another. There are reasons such as mega auctions in every four years, player trading and many more. In this listicle, we will discuss three players who have played for multiple teams in the last 15 years.

Three players who have played for most IPL teams

1. Aaron Finch

The former Australia skipper played for nine teams in the league. He started with the 2008 winners, Rajasthan Royals, then moved to Delhi Daredevils, and also featured for now-defunct Pune Warriors India. Finch also led the team in their last season, i.e 2013. 

The next year after this, he shifted to Sunrisers Hyderabad, then played for Mumbai Indians in 2015, then played for another now-defunct side, Gujarat Lions for two season in 2016. In 2018, he played for Punjab Kings and then shifted to RCB in 2020, and played his last for KKR last year. Currently, he is working as broadcaster in the ongoing season.

2. Dinesh Karthik

The discarded India player has played for quite a lot of times. He started with Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals), moved to Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2011, then to Mumbai Indians in 2012. In 2014, he went back t Delhi, then shifted to Royal Challengers Bangalore, and then was signed by now-defunct Gujarat Lions in 2016.

In 2018, he was signed by Kolkata Knight Riders and played for them till 2021. This was longest Karthik played for a team. Last year, he came back to RCB and continues to play for the team.

3. Robin Uthappa 

Retired international played for Mumbai Indians, his home team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, now-defunct Pune Warriors India, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, and Chennai Super Kings last year before retiring from the game
