Will Pakistan play the World Cup in India? What was said by the head of the board of Pakistan

পাকিস্তান কি ভারতে বিশ্বকাপ খেলতে যাবে? যা  বললেন পাকিস্তানের বোর্ড প্রধান

Due to India-Pakistan political tension, there is no bilateral series between the two countries for a long time. The two teams meet only in an ICC event. The ODI World Cup will be held in India next year. And there has been a lot of buzz about Pakistan’s playing or not playing in this World Cup since quite some time ago. Najam Shetty, the new head of the Pakistan Board, opened up about whether Pakistan will go to India to play in the ODI World Cup.

Pakistan will host the next Asia Cup. A few days ago BCCI secretary Jai Shah said that India will not go to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup. In response to this, Pakistan’s former board chief Ramiz Raja said that if India does not come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup, then Pakistan will not go to India to play the ODI World Cup. But this time the new head of the Pakistan Board, Najam Shetty, said something different.

According to Najam Shetty, the Pakistani government will decide whether Pakistan will go to India to play in the ODI World Cup or not. Sethi said, “The issue has been discussed for a long time, if the government says don’t go to India, then we won’t go to India. If you say, then we will go. Keeping Pakistan’s cricketing relationship in mind, the truth needs to be told. Will we play against each other or not? Whether to go to the country or not, will not be decided by the Pakistan Cricket Board but it will be decided by the government. Everything depends on the decision of the government. Because the government has the power to have the final say in this matter. The board can only ask for an explanation. We will only follow the instructions of the government.”

Sethi did not say anything clearly about the Asia Cup. He said that everything will be according to the situation. He also said, “There has been a lot of talk between the two countries about this in the past. Let’s first see what the situation is. I can move forward accordingly. Whatever decision is taken, I will always take care not to be separated from the rest. Everything depends on the situation. “.

Despite the political tension between the two countries, the cordial relationship between the players of the two countries was seen in the last Asia Cup. Pakistan captain Babar Azam tweeted in support of Virat Kohli during his poor form. On the other hand, Kohli, and Rohit were seen taking the news of Shaheen Shah Afridi’s injury. The sincerity of the players of the two teams impressed the cricket fans. But even then the two teams do not face each other in any bilateral series due to political rivalry.

Meanwhile, Najam Shetty also spoke about the appointment of a new coach for the Pakistan team. He said that Mickey Arthur, the former coach of the Pakistan team, will be given the responsibility of the new coach. Sethi believes that the Pakistan team has achieved success under Arthur before and if he gets him this time too, it will be beneficial for the team.
